Facebook Introduces Stories for Pages, but will Anyone Care?

Have you logged into Facebook recently? Of course you have, even if you'd rather deny it!

You might have noticed the 'stories' lingering at the top of page, similarly to Instagram. The only difference is Instagram stories are hugely popular, and, well, Facebook stories just...aren't.

It's safe to say the addition of stories to Facebook hasn't taken the social media world by storm. In fact, I've only ever seen one person upload their story to Facebook in comparison to the hundreds that are popping up on my Instagram on a daily basis. 

But Facebook are keen to press on with this feature, despite the apparent failure. Now pages, in addition to individual users are able to publish stories.

Why though?

According to Facebook's product manager the Facebook community has expressed demand for Stories for pages. I'd argue that they could just check out the company Instagram but hey if there's demand then why not.

I'm not certain it will take off in the way Instagram stories has but I guess we'll see...
