Recently LinkedIn introduced a brand new design for their website, this included a refreshed profile layout. With the new layout it changed how your profile picture is displayed so it might just be the right time to update your head shot too. After all profiles with a photo get up to 21x more profile views according to LinkedIn.
There's no need to get a new profile photo, LinkedIn have introduced a feature that is common across most social media platforms in 2017 - filters. There may not be as many options as Instagram and there are no dog ears a la Snapchat in sight, but there are a few options to give your profile photo a classy edge.

New photo editing tools are now available in LinkedIn’s mobile app. You can now edit and apply filters to improve the look of your profile picture. After you upload your photo, you can zoom in on your face and crop it to your liking.
