How UK Retailers Are Promoting Black Friday Online

A fun little post in the wake of Black Friday!

Or should we say week? It appears many retailers jumped on the bandwagon early this year, with deals launching up to a week before the event! Is it just us that thinks Black Friday should refer to the Friday itself? Anyway that's up for debate! Check out these top picks to grab yourself a few pre-Christmas bargains...

AO.com - the brand saw record sales last year and it doesn't look like they're holding back this year either! They've been offering deals all week long and have big discounts on their range of electricals. They've been focusing heavily on social media, even creating their own 'Black Friday Survival Guide' - a nice bit of content marketing there!

House of Fraser - are offering big discounts of up to 50%! They've been tactical with their SEO too, even changing their H1 to incorporate Black Friday!

Boots - already known for their pretty impressive deals around Christmas time. Black Friday is no exception, with mega savings on all categories. Although, much of their Black Friday focus will be online as opposed to in store to reflect customer buying behaviour.

Will you be braving Black Friday this year? Or will you browse and shop from the comfort of your home?

Despite recent suggestions that UK retailers consider Black Friday to be unprofitable, many seem to be ramping up efforts this year - even extending the event to an entire two weeks. Here’s a look at how six UK brands are honing in on bargain-hungry consumers.
