Last-Minute SEO For Christmas Time

Ho Ho Ho! The festive season is well and truly upon us, and that sure sneaked up quickly didn't it?

By now, you should have your SEO strategy in place, but if it's fallen down the priority list and got a little lost along the way then don't panic. Whilst you won't necessarily be appearing on page one for the big $£ terms, you can still utilise SEO and focus on quick-win areas as highlighted by Search Engine Land.

Top tips include optimising your Google My Business page - this is something we'd hope you've already done but if not get that put on the action list!

Ensure your meta titles & descriptions are optimised for keywords! Make sure that they're informative for the user, as you need to appeal to the buyer as well as the person who may be receiving the gift! Add offers in here too, for example free delivery, to encourage users to visit your website over your competitors.

Content optimisation is another key tool, start by reviewing your current content and go from there. Ensure the content on your pages is fully optimised with keywords but also look at your blog and whether there are any opportunities here - for example a blog post on 'the best gifts to buy for teens in 2016' and so on...

Hopefully these tips will inspire any lagging SEO efforts for this Christmas, and if time is really a struggle, consider social media advertising too! Good Luck.

Put off your 2016 holiday SEO strategy until now? While it may be too late to capture those big-budget keywords, columnist Dave Davies shows that there are still some tactics you can use to gain some SEO traction this holiday season.
