70% Of Consumers Will Leave A Review For A Business When Asked

An interesting statistic from Search Engine Land and the annual Local Consumer Review Survey. At Lilac James, we always encourage our clients to build on their online reviews. Whether it be a Google review, or a Facebook review.

These days, your online reputation is extremely important. Just think about when you're looking for a new restaurant to check out, or a weekend at the spa. Will you look online to see what people are saying about them? Of course you will! We want to hear real life experiences and opinions, and a quick Google search will give you all the info you need.

Reviews build trust with a brand, and trust is very important when converting potential consumers to actual customers. 90% of consumers read just 10 reviews or fewer before they feel they can trust a business.

So next time you're dealing with a happy, satisfied client - ask them to leave you a review! As stated in the original article, 70% of consumers WILL leave a review if asked, and if you don't ask, you don't get. If your customers aren't keen, then perhaps you could offer a small discount next time they do business with you as an incentive? Think outside the box and start raking in those positive reviews!
